Amateur film maker  

Hello, I'm Charlotte otherwise known as Lottie. I am a second-year Film Production student at the University of Portsmouth, aspiring to become a Sound recordist or assistant director.

I have worked closely with my university peers on a variety of projects including short films and a documentary. My studies have allowed me to experiment with multiple roles including producer, sound recording, editor, sound editor, director, assistant director and I was the data wrangler for a graduate film called Mr and Mrs Wilcox.

​Through these experiences I have learnt the importance of each department. It has also helped me to identify sound recording and assistant directing as the areas I would like to focus on in my early career.

In the longer term I hope to be able to make films that show people’s genuine stories, capturing the small moments that make us who we are as people, and finding the beauty in the mundane.
